Saturday, 20th of October:
As usual, we met with our children in the afternoon. This time we discussed about recycling with them. It is essential to talk with children more about it and to hear their ideas.
Firstly, children were given a paper with multiple things (glass bottles, cell phones, clothes etc.) and they had to colour them. After, when they all had done it, we had a discussion with children about recycling and they had a chance to tell us what they think about it.
In addition, we made a quiz, where they had to guess how long it takes for nature to decompose trash what is thrown on the ground.

Today's topic was plastic. Children were given 2 tasks - to make flower garden and bracelets out of plastic bottles.
Children were divided into 7 groups where they all had to make one flower garden. They all got 3 plastic bottles, some cartons and scissors. It was easier for them to work in smaller groups. Afterwards they coloured their work. During this activity they saw how they can use a simple plastic bottle to make some accessories.
Secondly, they all made a bracelet for themself.

Cumartesi günkü aktiviteler yoğunluklu olarak çocukların iletişim
becerilerini geliştirmeye yönelikti. Projemizde yer alan çocukların tamamı
dezavatanjlı durumda bulunan, risk altındaki çocuklardan oluştuğu için bu
etkinliğe ihtiyaç duyuldu. Bu aktiviteler daha çok onların grup içinde iyi bir
iletişim kurabilmeleri ve eğlenerek öğrenmelerini sağlamak içindi.
Yapılan etkinlikler özetle şunlardı: Geri dönüşümle ilgili biraz sohbet
edildi. Ekoloji üzerine kısa slayt gösterisi yapıldı.
Plastiğin, camın, kâğıdın, metalin doğada ayrışımının nasıl
yapıldığıyla ilgili çocukların tamamen yaratıcılıkları ve
fikirlerini kâğıda resmetmeleri sağlandı. Daha sonrasında çocuklarla
fikir alışverişi yapıldı ve paylaşımlar değerlendirildi.

O günkü etkinliğimiz ‘DRAKULA’ isimli eğlenceli ve isim
hafızasını geliştirmeye yönelik oyunla başladı. Atık plastikler toplanarak
çiçek bahçesi yapımı planlandı ve çocuklar üçer gruplara ayrıldılar.
Plastik şişelerden çiçek yaptılar. Artıkları ise kartonlarla
yapıştırarak “rüzgâr gülü” yaptılar.
