20th of November - last activity day!

The project is almost over, only exhibition has left. This week, we had our last activity day. 

Tuesday, 20th of November:  

As this activity was our last one, we decided to sum it up with making kites. Children were given plastic bags, old newspapers, band, thread and straws. Their only assignement was to fold it all together so it would get the shape of the kite.

Children were very fond of the idea to have their own kite, so they all showed their enthusiasm to finish it. With no doubt, they all finished on time. In the end of this activity they all gathered outside to fly their kites together. 

20 Kasım Salı Günü: 

“Ben kimim?” adlı hareketli oyundan sonra çocuklarla birlikte ayarladığımız gazete, dergi, broşürleri kullanarak “uçurtma” yapımı gerçekleştirildi.

Learning with children, activities on 16th and 18th of November!

Our project  is almost finished - last week we had 2 days full of activities and this week we'll only have one day and it will be the last one. But it's not the end, there will be an exhibition where others can see children's works, and after that the activities in this project are officially over. Nevertheless, last week children learned a lot. 

Friday, 16th of November: 

Our activity for friday was inspired from autumn. We all see colourful leaves outside, but why not to use them?! Idea was born, we knew what to do with children!  Of course, the day started with  games and collecting leaves together together.

When they all had managed to collect the leaves, they started to make the wind chimes. Actually, the thing what they made can also be called a dream catcher or just a simple decoration. It was just very multifuncional.

16 Kasım Cuma Günü: 

Her zamanki gibi ısınma oyunlarından sonra çocuklar dışarıda dökülmüş yaprakları topladılar ve eski çalışmalarımızdan kalan artık malzemeleri değerlendirme amacıyla kâğıtları birleştirip üçgen haline dönüştürdüler. Sonrasında uç kısımlarına yerleştirdikleri iplere yaprakları bağladılar ve yeni süs eşyaları haline dönüştürdüler.

Sunday, 18th of November: 

This time children reused juice cartons and plastic bottles again. They made paper cars and later coloured them. After the small break, they were introduced children rights through one game. It was very useful for them and children paid a lot of attention on it (maybe also because it was a game, so they had a chance to participate it very actively).

18 Kasım Pazar Günü: 

Hareketlendirici oyunlardan sonra plastik şişe ve meyve suyu kutularından “araba yapma” etkinliği gerçekleştirildi. Sonrasında bu haftanın çocuk hakları haftasına denk gelmesi vesilesiyle çocuklarla çocuk hakları üzerine sohbet gerçekleştirdik ve “çocuk hakları kart oyunu hazırlayarak” çocuklarla oynadık.

6th, 9th and 11th of November!

This time our activities were a bit different from the last weekends. On 3rd till 10th of November Youth and Change Association was organising Youth Exchange in Diyarbakir. It was on the topic of Reduce, Reuse, Recycle. As this Youth Exchange was on the same time, we just combained some activities with 'Recycling with Children' project, so those children also got a chance to work together with foreigners. 

Tuesday, 6th of November:

Children were brought to the Youth Exchange venue, where they did recycling activites together with people from Hungary, Bulgaria, Romania, Germany and Lithuania. Children painted T-shirts and played together with participants.

6 Kasım Salı Günü:

Çocuklarla Yenişehir Belediyesi Piknik Alanından bir ‘piknik’ gerçekleştirildi. Ayrıca eş zamanlı olarak, çocuklarla ‘tişört boyama’ etkinliği gerçekleştirdi. Bu sayede çocuklar, kullanmadıkları tişörtlerine istedikleri şekilleri verme şansına sahip oldular.

 

Friday, 9th of November: 
Children came to the Association to have a workshop on the topic of Recycling. They were divided into 4 groups and each group had a task to make a box. Later they dividend boxes to Metal, Glass, Plastic and Paper and they had to collect things from outside. Each group had to collect things what topic their group had (for ex. Plastic group was collecting only plastic). Afterwards, they all looked through things together and decided if all the groups had collected right things.

 9 Kasım Cuma Günü: 

‘Doğa Döngüsü’ adında çevre oyunuyla başladık. Sonrasında çocuklara öncesinde ayarladığımız kutuları verdik ve dört gruba ayrıldılar. Her biri plastik, kâğıt cam, metal olmak üzere seçim yaptılar ve gruplarına göre kutuları boyayarak seçimlerine göre alana çıktılar. Sonrasında her grup kendi malzemesini topladı, böylece çocuklarla geri dönüşüm kutuları oluşturmuş olduk. Topladıklarıyla ilgili veri paylaşımında bulunduk, çocuklar kendi düşüncelerini ifade etme fırsatı buldular.

 

Sunday, 11th of November:
Children came to Sümerpark to have another workshop. In this workshop they also reused old T-shirts. Each of them got a T-shirt and this time they were teached how to make a bag from T-shirts.

11 Kasım Pazar Günü: 

Her zamanki gibi ısınma oyunları ile başladı. Sonrasında ise öncesinden ayarladığımız eski tişörtlerden tamamen çocukların yaratıcılığına bıraktığımız “çanta” yapımı gerçekleştirildi.
